(Reading Books)Completed reading a book by Preeti Shenoy - Life is what you make it....

This post of mine is first of its kind in my blog....well to start it i just wanted to share my views regarding a book which i just completed reading by Preeti Shenoy and the name of the book "Life is what you make it".

It was tough to read when i actually began reading this book. But then my curiosity took me towards rolling the pages forward, i was desperate to know the happenings of the next page.

And the narration of the story has taken me miles away from my being in reality. And preeti deserves a applause definetely for this... I was rolling the pages and was remembering the things that the character "Ankita" was going through and was wondering what might happen to her in further life's journey....

I was actually comparing, rather i would say i was seeing myself in a mirror many times when character "Ankita" was doing things my way.

It was some times i felt that i was taken in to words and been put into this well designed well narrated book.

And I also see myself in many situations where i was as same as the character "Ankita" in the book. As the pages got rolled i was able to recognize the silence in me.....Infact i was speechless.....

And thought to post it to my blog when i actually went wordless while reading the last pages of the book....

It was ankita who came out of pain and it was preeti who made her readers feel the pain....

Samsung and Nokia to have flexible displays.....

If Samsung or Nokia have their way, we could be looking at flexible displays as early as next year. Nokia showed off their prototype ‘Kinetic Device’ a couple of months ago; and Samsung just had to show off what they’ve got cooking – an incredibly thin and flexible screen for their phones. The advertisements for this amazing transparent screen is already a massive hit on YouTube. While this is still in the prototype stage, Samsung is rumoured to be readying these screens for commercial production in 2012.

When you get past the idea that your phone’s screen is flexible, you’re probably asking yourself the same thing we did: besides the novelty, what’s the point? So we found out more about these awesome-looking displays, watched a lot of mind-bending videos, and came to the conclusion that these screens could be the best thing for Samsung (and/or Nokia), given the current market situation for two reasons.

First, the obvious advantage: no matter how much you love your touch screen phone, every phone’s screen can crack, given enough force or odd falling angles. Made of a kind of plastic, these screens provide the ultimate in shatterproof viewing. These screens even trump Gorilla Glass, the erstwhile leader in strong screens. The indestructible screens will no doubt attract those potential customers who’ve ignored touch screen phones because of their screens’ vulnerability.

Second, the flexible screens offer Samsung the chance to make phones that have unique shapes, going away from the traditional candy bar format. Apple won a landmark case against HTC recently, after the US International Trade Commission ruled against the Taiwanese manufacturer. Apple has been fighting similar patent infringement cases against Samsung and other manufacturers around the globe. Other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) would be able to differentiate their phones from Apple’s patented devices, by offering physical modifications, and not just different operating platforms.

Hell, we’d just be excited to have phones we wouldn’t be scared of dropping. But a phone we could wrap around our wrist? Hello, Future. Here we come

Want to print while editing with your finger tips

Yes you heard me right....
Do you want to print while making changes to the document or paper you want to print with your own finger tips, then here is a cool printer that is going to be available in market very soon which can print and edit The Touch Screen Printer With Editing
Check this out

The SWYP concept of printing has been developed by designers at Artefact. SWYP stands for See What You Print. This concept brings the world of consumer printing to a different level. It uses touch screen to do everything from editing to printing.

As the screen is calibrated to the printer, users can get an idea of what exactly will be coming out. The touch screen will be used to preview the contents and edit them on the fly before printing even eliminating unwanted printing areas off the screen. Margin and scaling can also be adjusted with a single tap of the screen.

Now comes the question how do we print the documents. For this the printer has got a few connectivity features. This printer can print photos directly from Facebook and Flickr. The home screen can be personalised to create a network for online sources and even a camera can be directly connected to the printer wirelessly to select images and edit them before printing.

The printer itself has been designed to keep the concept simple. It depicts as a printer in a box. The SWYP’s box design uses the lid as a scanner and it also gives an easy access to the ink cartridges and paper tray. The selection of ink icon reveals the ink level and other related information’s. A unique point to be noted is that the printer doesn’t have a power button but will power on and off with the opening and closing of the paper tray. Hope this concept gets to the production line and is ready for commercial use in the near future.
